Orlando continues to cement its place as a center for technological innovation with the arrival of 11 startups to the Plug and Play Orlando Fall 2025 Smart Cities Accelerator. Over the next three months, these companies will collaborate with local leaders, industry experts, and investors to refine solutions that aim to transform urban living.
“Lake Nona is uniquely positioned as a launchpad for transformative technology,” said Juan Santos, SVP of Innovation for Tavistock. “By piloting their solutions within our living lab, we’re demonstrating what’s possible when innovation is applied with purpose.”
The participating startups represent a range of industries and technologies:

Actualization.AI – Developing AI that interprets human-written rules to improve contract analysis and reduce errors.

Altaport – A platform automating operations, revenue, and customer experience for general aviation and future AAM vertiports.

Blue Frontier – Designing next-generation air conditioning systems with built-in energy storage for reduced environmental impact.

DNAlyte – Portable DNA analysis enabling rapid decisions in health, diagnostics, and environmental safety.

EchoTwin AI – AI-driven computer vision and workflows for self-monitoring city infrastructure.

Genesis Systems – Technologies addressing fresh water scarcity and improving urban resilience.

LuftCar – Hydrogen-powered modular vehicles with a complete ecosystem for urban air mobility.

OmniCoreHub – Real-time platform integrating IT, OT, IoT, and video data for efficient city management.

PassiveLogic – AI-powered building automation with physics-informed digital twins.

SolyX AI – Modular micro data centers for AI workloads, deployable quickly without water-intensive cooling.

UrbaniticsAI – Drone-based inspections with AI to detect sidewalk and ADA compliance issues.
“These startups are tackling real-world challenges, from cleaner energy to smarter urban mobility,” said Rosangela Parker, Program Manager of Plug and Play Orlando. “With support from our partners, their ideas will turn into tangible solutions benefiting the community.”
The accelerator program is supported by Orange County Government, Duke Energy, UCF, Odin Energy Solutions, and Tavistock. It will culminate on December 9, 2025, at an expo where each startup will present their innovations to corporate leaders, investors, and policymakers.
